Christine Helms Award for Exceptional Contribution
given to Casey Klimasauskas

Pittsburgh, PA, February 27, 2002 - The Christine Helms Award for Exceptional Contribution was given to Casey Klimasauskas today by Dr. Gary Jackson, DARPA Program Manager at the American Institutes for Research.

"His [Casey Klimasauskas] contribution has enabled us to substantially reduce the time required to perform our existing tasks, and has opened up new avenues of research allowing us to ask questions that were not practical to address in the past", according to Dr. Gary Jackson. "These contributions continue to be an important factor in the success of a key project. Casey went beyond the requirements of the task we had given him to provide a break-through that enabled us to substantially improve the quality of our research and productivity of our staff. It is unusual to give this award to a contractor. However, Casey's contribution was so significant and compelling that we unanimously decided to award it to him."

Founded in 1946, the American Institutes for Research (AIR) is a not-for-profit corporation with a long history of accomplishment. AIR's staff of some 800 professionals performs basic and applied research, provides technical support, and conducts analyses based on methods of the behavioral and social sciences. Program areas focus on education, health, individual and organizational performance, and quality of life. AIR helps its clients respond to human problems with effective policies, products, and services. The goal is to make a difference - by addressing a broad range of social problems and by ensuring that the results of our research are useful.

Casey Klimasauskas is a senior staff member at Klimasauskas Group and a contributor to Advanced Technology for Developers. He holds five patents and has written many articles on the application of biologically inspired computing technologies. His unique approach includes a strong business and sales focus combined with exceptional technical depth and breadth.
